LuminaVault ("we", "us") provides a personal knowledge and assistant app ("the App") and its backend service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: fernandocorreia316@gmail.com.

Data we collect

• Account & contact — email address and/or phone number, used to create and secure your account and to deliver sign-in codes.
• Your content — notes, vault entries, messages, and files you create or import. Stored to provide the core service and to power assistant features.
• Health data — if you grant access, metrics from Apple Health are read to provide health-related summaries and assistant context. Health data is never used for advertising and is not sold.
• Photos — images you choose to add are processed to index and recall them within your vault.
• Purchases — subscription status and purchase history (via Apple and RevenueCat) to manage entitlements.
• Diagnostics — crash logs and performance data (via Sentry) and product-interaction analytics (via PostHog) to keep the App stable and improve it.
• Identifiers — a user ID linking the above to your account.

How your content is processed by AI

To answer questions and generate summaries, your relevant content may be sent to large-language-model providers operating on our behalf. Content is processed to produce a response for you and is not used to train third-party public models. You may connect your own AI provider ("BYO"), in which case your content is routed to the provider you configure.

How we use data

To operate, secure, and improve the App; to provide assistant and search features; to process subscriptions; to communicate service messages; and to comply with law. We do not sell your personal data and do not use Health, Photos, or your content for advertising.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run the App (cloud hosting, Apple, RevenueCat, Sentry, PostHog, and AI providers you or we configure), each bound to protect it, and where required by law.

Tracking

Analytics may be classified as "tracking" under Apple's App Tracking Transparency. We request your permission before any tracking, and the App functions if you decline.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account in-app (Settings), which removes your content and personal data from our systems, subject to limited legal/backup retention. Encrypted backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

Your rights

Depending on your region you may access, correct, export, or delete your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your region).

We may update this policy; material changes will be noted here with a new date.
